This is a very popular style of bulb for Many Work Lights, flashlights, and devices that run on 4 or more batteries (not 3 cells)
The LED lamps difference is in the Flood or Spot Beam, and brightness.
If you want long run time to choose the 1W or the 3.0W size is a somewhat brighter light.
