This AA to 1D - Size adapter puts AA-size batteries in D CELL devices. These adapters are normally used with rechargeable Ni-MH, Lithium AA batteries to take the place of a D cell in a flashlight. Now you can use the rechargeable AAs you already have to power your flashlight.
Battery adapters allow a combination of series and parallel 3AA to 1D battery adapters for longer run times or higher voltages for brighter LEDs
- Parallel adapters put AAs in parallel to boost Capacity
- Series adapters put AA's in Series to boost Voltage brighter LEDs
For example: 2 (1.5V Cell) and (3.6V Li-Ion Cell) lights for:
3 Volts (1.5V Cell) and 7.2 Volts (Li-Ion) = 2-parallel adapters
6 Volts (1.5V Cell) and 14.4 Volts (Li-Ion) = 1-series and 1-parallel adapter
9 Volts (1.5V Cell) = 2-series adapters

Note: One use for the adapters is to use 1-series and 1-parallel in a standard 3-volt flashlight to make it a 6-volt light running off 4 AA batteries. The 6-volt light can use the high power 1-watt and 5-watt LEDs with alkaline, NiMh, or lithium AAs.
Note: You can also use these adapters for lithium 14500 AA sized.
